Screen Composer

Denis brings unique creativity, interpretation and personality to his screen composition, adding a point of difference to every project he works on. His clients enjoy his excellent ear for production and detail, and his proven abilities to work to a brief, to work to a budget, to value add, to meet deadlines and to work closely with the other facets of the production process.

He started work as a screen composer in 1995 through his company Blarter Music. Currently he's scoring a documentary series for Discovery Channel and writing music for corporate videos. He's previously composed music for TV shows, TV station ID's & promos, corporate videos, short films and advertising jingles. His work has been broadcast on all the major Australian networks - ABC, 7, 9 & 10 - as well as many cable channels.

In the last few years he's written music for: Australia's Next Top Model; The Footy Show (NRL); Escape With ET; and The Shak, as well as for various adverts and corporate videos. 	7 Network Promos Selections from the collection of promo tracks written for 7 Network Promos in 2013.			ABC Asia Pacific 3 station ID's for The ABC's Asia Pacific service (which was replaced by Australia Network).
	ABC Kids The ABC launched the "ABC KIDS" channel as part of it's initial multi channel digital service in 2001.			Australia's Next Top Model Compiles of music tracks from Australia's Next Top Model series 3 to 6.
	The Australia Network Australia Network is the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Asia Pacific Service.			Bodywork Observational documentary following patients through cosmetic surgery procedures.
	Clever A studio based science quiz show. Two panels of celebrities are asked a multiple choice question.			Ultimate Fish A series of documentaries for The Discovery Channel with Andrew "ET" Ettingshausen.
	Footy Show - NRL 2006 Logie award winning sports based program. The producers asked for a “heartfelt ballad/anthem for rugby league”.			Footy Show - NRL 2007 Logie award winning sports entertainment program.
	Footy Show – NRL 2009 For the start of the 2009 NRL Footy Show, Denis was appointed as music director.			Overhaul An observational documentary (reality series) following eight overweight volunteers as they are put through a diet.
	The Shak Interactive afternoon kids TV show. The brief was for up beat and exciting music, which was clearly identifiable with “THE SHAK”.			Sunday Sunrise The 2003 incarnation of Sunday Sunrise was The Seven Network's premier public affairs programme.
